So, how did I come up with the name “Out of the Ocean, and Into the Courtroom"? Some time ago, I began to wonder how a United States corporation came to be awarded salvor-in-possession status of a ship and wrecksite when the construction of said ship was financed by a trust company led by an American, built in Belfast, Ireland, and registered in Liverpool, England. Add to this the fact that the once luxurious liner, and some would say still beautiful even in its deteriorated state, lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, two and a half miles down.
